0.029" dia. Music Wire (ASTM-A228)
Free length - 1.00"
Load at length (0.433") - 3.38 lb [15.03 N]
Solid height - 0.221 in [5.61 mm]
Spring rate - 6.1 lb/in [1.068 N/mm]

 

Possible uses:

  1. Shock absorber
  2. Return spring for Decco solenoid
  3. Small projectile launcher
  4. Belt tensioner
  5. Fold-out parts

Tips:

To prevent buckling of the spring mount on a shaft about 10% smaller than the inside diameter of the spring.

Tools:

Do not modify in any way. Any modification is not recommended and may destroy the spring.

Examples:
These compression springs are used to provide a "soft" travel stop on the pistons.
