You can thread the ends of a straight section using a #4-40 die.
To cut, you should use the cut-off tool in lab (usually yellow handled and mounted in a vise) or cut through most of the way with a pliers and then bend back and forth to break off. You can also use a hacksaw if properly supported.
To bend accurately, you should layout what the bent piece should look like and bend with pliers or the wire bender, constantly comparing the actual piece with the drawing.
When using the spot welder, attach only two pieces at any one spot.
To modify you can use the following tools: Hacksaw, #10-32 Die, Wire bender, Grinder
You should be careful when using: Drill press (make a flat), Bandsaw (use a hacksaw instead)
You should not use: Shear, Brake, Notcher
